Ladakh - transhimalayan expereince! Indian Himalayas.

Ladakh - transhimalayan expereince! Indian Himalayas.Ladakh - transhimalayan expereince! Indian Himalayas.

Ladakh has been given sobriquets by the handful: vivid, beautiful, unbelievable, Moonland, Little Tibet, The land of high passes.

All describe the land but not adequately, and nothing quite prepares the traveler for the completely ethereal yet harsh beauty of ladakh.

High up in the shadow of the world's highest peaks is this land of mythical beauty - a land where vividly coloured mountains rise up dramatically on

all sides, dwarfing the crystal rivers and shimmering glaciers which make their way through the barren land. A land that is arid and harsh, yet one of the most beautiful anywhere on earth; a land of warm, friendly people and

a cultural heritage that is nothing short of amazing.

A region whose cultural horizons are closer to Tibet than to India... ancient Buddhist heritage is reflected in the numerous gompas and forts atop Sugarloaf Mountains in this rugged barren land.

So come discover and live another life!

Leh - capital city of Ladakh;

Andrew Harvey wrote “There is nothing whatever to do. That’s is Leh’s charm... nothing to do but slow down, relax, laze, to become one vast transparent eye.”

Leh the capital of Ladakh, lies nestled among low hills on the north side of the Indus valley, between Stok Mountains and the Ladakh range. For centuries it has been a place where travelers of different origin have rested before continuing over the mountains along ancient trade routes that radiate from the city. Today, Leh is popular with a different kind of mountain wanderer and makes an ideal base for travels in Ladakh.

Since the Chinese closure of trade routes in 1949, Leh’s economic base has shifted. It has come face to face with a world with which it had little previous contact, a world in which technological advances and economic gain are driving forces. Leh is adopting this inappropriate model of development and

is beginning to suffer from corresponding environmental and social problems. Thankfully, the changes brought about are recent and not irreversible. People seem to have realised this. Local communities along with dedicated grass-root organizations are making efforts to stem this tide and adopt a more sustainable and appropriate way forward for this fascinating city.

travel with us and we will indulge u in similar experiences all over Ladakh. Our people who work with us and local from the region who directly get befitted from the tours that we handle.

Will Edu bring his family to Africa?

Will Edu bring his family to Africa? Will Edu bring his family to Africa?

Dear Edu

Desmond Tutu calls South Africa the Rainbow Nation. He may refer to the myriad of cultures or the diverse scenery, the varied climate. He loves this country like most of us for the diversity in culture and nature.

The San lived here in aboriginal times, the African moved south from East Africa a few hundred years before the White man arrived in modern sailboats from Europe about 600 years ago.

On the first visit to South Africa one observes abundant wildlife, avifauna and vegetation. Big elephants, sleeping prides of lion and herds of zebras, gnu and impala. It is always exciting to search for animals in Kruger National Park or Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Park in Mpumalanga and Kwazulu Natal Provinces respectfully.

When my clients arrive I meet them personally at the Airport, my service is personal and I join my clients throughout their entire journey. I am a registered South African Tour - and Nature Guide, my love for this land brings me to be a travel chronic, I love my job!

South Africa is challenged with a large boundary between rich and poor. Our super modern airports are often on the margin of ever expanding informal settlements or shack lands. Desperate people from all over Africa and parts of Asia settle in these areas, looking for a better living. People in South Africa are keen to meet foreigners and learn about their cultures.

The two major challenges for the South African society is Aids and crime. We have made huge improvements in the past few years in solving these urgent challenges, and prudent travelers can be assured of their safety. Networks of safety and security as well as medical services exist in South Africa, extending to the most remote locations.

Accommodations in Southern Africa vary from super expensive and exclusive to rustic and earthly. Most safari lodges include meals and game viewing activities and several will cater for young children!

Typically game viewing happens early morning and late afternoon on open game viewer- or jeep vehicles.

These Lodges or Private Game Reserves present you with a real African bush experience.

National and Provincial Parks present a home made experience where one choose to explore vast tracks in search of wildlife or relax in a comfortable rest camp. Some hides present bird and game watching from a panoramic vantage point, using binoculars is always a bonus.

Photographers never have a dull moment on any trip in Southern Africa!

Cape Town presents a magnificent cultural, gastronomic, floral and oceanic experience with a dramatic coastline. The Cape Peninsula is home to whales, dolphins, seals, penguins, great white sharks and the world’s richest Floral Kingdom to name a few attractions.

The Cape of Good Hope, Cape of Storms, Table Mountain, Hourikwagga (Sea mountain in the Khoi Language) This area is filled with iconic names and some of earth’s most dramatic coastal scenery.

Also known as the meeting place of Two Oceans, the Atlantic and Indian, this is also the meeting place of people and cultures from all over the world. From famous European explorers and land hungry Imperialists to the San hunter-gatherers and Khoi herdsman of the past to a myriad of modern day tourists.

Every trip I present to friends is unique. I organize every detail and all my clients need to bring is their credit cards and an open mind to explore an exciting and diverse part of earth. Prices also vary for every trip. Trips are exclusive and designed only for you and your family or group of friends,

Incredible Bhutan Tours

Incredible Bhutan ToursIncredible Bhutan Tours

There is so much of warmth in the fresh, cool and typically Bhutanese air that you will breathe when you travel to Bhutan. Your Bhutan tours and travel will be completely different as compared to other countries. Most of the other countries offer their architectural cultural, traditional beauties. But Bhutan besides having a unique and different culture and traditions has, its natural beauty, which we as Bhutanese, are committed to conserve the authenticity of a truly natural system. In cities and hamlets across the kingdom, the people live a way of life that is rich in tradition and steeped in the age-old system of hospitality. The pristine state of environment; the vibrant tradition and culture and the kindness of the people are some of the long-lasting impressions that visitors to the kingdom have cherished after their stay in the kingdom. The country has also not shied from the good that modernity has to offer. It is this ability of the Bhutanese people that fascinates the visitor.

Thus this tiny Himalayan Kingdom of Bhutan, sandwiched between the two Asian giants, China and India, is considered the top tourist destination by many travel magazines. Bhutan receives a very few number of Tourists every year as compared to all other countries because it maintains its principle of low volume and “high value” Tourism so as to sustain a very fragile ecosystem and Buddhism based culture and traditions.

As the number of visitors travelling to Bhutan has increased, the quality of services rendered by all tour operators have undoubtedly improved. Experience has gained power and so has the mentality of Bhutanese to satisfy their customers (Tourist and visitors). We, Medieval Bhutan Tours, under the wings of the Tourism Council of Bhutan, will fulfill all your needs and aspiration for your Bhutan Travel and Tours.

One can completely enjoy a new experience just in stepping on the Bhutanese terrain. Many interesting things are to be unveiled yet. You are the one to pull the shades and ad quire a full new sense of beauty.
